1000 Miles through the Rockies

Aventura's Glenn Fenster has updated us from his journey across the country. It's amazing that this is the third year he has created an epic adventure to raise awarness for epilepsy. If this is the first post you are reading about Fenster, make sure to visit his website to read about his mission.

Here's the update...

DestinyMaker's Glenn Fenster has now cycled over 1000 miles through the Rockies (12,000 high in Elevation, Snow), down into the Canyons of Utah (over 90 degrees), into Monument Valley in Arizona (walked where Dinosaurs walked) and into California (40 mile an hour winds in face). Fenster has been interviewed by local TV and newspapers. You will find one TV report here CBS 2 Palm Springs - Ride to Cure Epilepsy and the others at www.destinymaker.org and click on the In The News link. Currently just outside LA, Fenster today will make his move toward the 2nd leg of his journey raising Epilepsy awareness as he turns toward the North just under 7000 miles to go.

Re: GO GREEN Initiative Program Winners...............

1) Recent extensive plantings of water-thirsty bushes is far from "Green".
2) Replacing the incandescent bulbs (fifty percent of which are out as we speak) in the area-in-front-of-the-elevators-which-I-will-never-call-a-lobby with other incandescent bulbs is not "Green".
3) Dumping the "recyclables" on top of the household garbage (I watched the truck operator do it) is not "Green".

Jonathan Randall, a New York City comic, sent in another article for us to ponder.

The American media seems hell bent on inundating us with the most toxic worthless crap imaginable. I don't care when Lindsay last had her period or need to know about Britney's last flash. Between Dancing with the "Stars," TMZ, Flavor of Love, and FOX news I want to drown my television. It's a sad state of affairs when you have a better chance achieving fame in this country from going down on a Governor than having talent, or at least talent that doesn't make you a whore. There are people out there who don't believe in global warming and think that Dar fur and Tibet are types of Pokemon.

We are at war for oil when oil is the real enemy. Our democracy looks like a monarchy with a leader hated and profiting off his power. Our business is debt and business is good at least until its time for us to pay up. The only thing worse than our health care system is the education system. Which works out nicely to keep us dumb and easy to control. If I was naive enough to believe in Intelligent Design I wouldn't believe in global warming either, hell if the planet has only been around for 6000 years then we haven't had enough time to kill it yet. But hey, what could I say I am still proud to be an American.
