Miami is ranked in the top five of hurricane vulnerable cities. This is precisely why contacting us is important. We will guide you through the process of filing your insurance claim if necessary after a storm hits. Know the facts, be prepared. We wrote about this subject on our blog, which continues with this quote from the Miami New Times…

“Despite a long history of major hurricanes striking southern portions of Florida, metropolitan Fort Lauderdale and Broward County, and the nearby city of Miami along with many of its suburbs in Miami-Dade County, have gone for decades without experiencing the direct impacts from a very damaging hurricane. At the same time, the population has soared and building has boomed in an area where essentially every person and structure resides within 20 miles of the coastline.”

Wade-Lebron-Bosh, The Three Kings

Eric Miller, fantasy football expert, commented on the LeBron James hysteria...

The Miami Herald has alluded to the Wade-Lebron-Bosh triumvirate (a real word) as “The Three Kings” and “Three for the Show”. I simply equate it with unstoppable, winning basketball served on a daily basis, en route to multiple world championships; or alternatively, our very own Triumph-Virate.

Actually, the Herald’s own Greg Cote calls it right on when declaring on July 9th that as of now “Miami is the capital of basketball” and “South Florida is the epicenter of American sports”. And still, the catchy titles keep coming: “Jackpot”, “Royal Court”, “The New Kingdom”, “The Three Kings”, “The Big Three”, “The Triple Play” (the latter, courtesy of Heat President Pat Riley and Coach Erik Spoelstra), and countless others.

Banks on every corner in Aventura

The international and wealthy community of Aventura, FL. is likely what caused banks to flock to the 33180 zip code. The average individual without complex financial needs a convenient deposit and withdrawal system. Those individuals or businesses requiring complex financial services, trust accounts, business credits, international specialists, investment management, family offices, and other areas of wealth and business management, are likely more critical and demanding when it comes to their banking institutions.

Banks like most businesses, compete for business and entered the Aventura community in effort to earn the banking business of its residents. Many banks were started as trust companies managing the wealth of one family or a family business starts a bank and lends their wealth. This attracts those in their sphere of influence to deposit and invest with the bank.

South Florida Fantasy Football tips

This is the time of year where the word “limbo” comes to mind. Of course I’m not referring to Dante’s Inferno’s 8th bolge of hell, but sports fans are actually facing something much worse these days: how to cope with a fairly mundane sports schedule. Yes, I know… We have the World Cup and MLB is in full swing; but let’s accept reality: The NBA Finals are over, and for football-hungry South Floridians, the NFL season cannot come soon enough. So here’s some tips to help you cope in the meantime.

1. Visit Fantasy Football Sites

Whether you’re in a league or not, rookie or veteran, now’s the time to scour the web to find some great fantasy sites where you can sign up, play and/or start preparing for the upcoming season. The most intriguing of them all appears to be NFL.com where they have just unveiled their brand new 2010 game and draft tools. Another worth exploring is Fanball.com which offers a variety of games, tools, articles, and even a 24/7 season-long advice service. Now, If you’re interested in entering a contest where you can gain national recognition for being one of the best (and a potential nice payout), I recommend researching 2 of the majors: The World Championship of Fantasy Football at wcoff.com; and The National Fantasy Football Championship at nffc.fanball.com. And in my humble opinion, if you just want to play FF with a group of friends, or even people you’ve never met, the best onsite venues may still be Sportsline.com, ESPN.com, and Yahoo.com.
